Our Wines

Hastwell & Lightfoot is located in the world renowned McLaren Vale region of South Australia.  Established in 1988, we produce premium Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, Tempranillo, Montepulciano, Grenache, Barbera, Vermentino and Fiano from our 40 acres of vineyard.  We make an additional three wines under our second label, Fat’n Skinny. Picker’s Choice is a red blend, a dry style Rose and Pinot Grigio with fruit sourced from elsewhere.

Our Story

A True Partnership

It all began in May 1988 when Mark Hastwell and Martin Lightfoot purchased land in the beautiful McLaren Vale region of South Australia, and began planting the first vines in July. From there it has grown to acres of vineyard and 3 acres of olives, as well as two wine brands sold in many parts of the world.

The first wine bottled under the Hastwell & Lightfoot brand was the 1990 Cabernet Sauvignon.
