Sands of Time Shiraz | 2020

Sands of Time Shiraz is our premium Shiraz sourced from a single vineyard on the deep sand slopes of our McLaren Vale Hastwell & Lightfoot estate. Over a millennia, the prevailing westerly winds slowly built a mantle of coastal sands across our region. Drifting into the vale, dunes have built up on the ridges. Today our vineyards sit on these dunes that are located only 10 kms from the coast. With time these Semaphore Sands have become one of the primary influences on the style of our wines. There is a finesse, elegance and a balance of these regional flavours from our single vineyard. It sets our wine apart. The Hastwell & Lightfoot Sands of Time Shiraz reflects the terroir, highlighted with small batch fermentation, hands on winemaking and judicious use of oak.

Palate: Medium-bodied with a fine texture and grippy finish
