Cabernet Sauvignon | 2017

For more than 30 years we have been growing Cabernet Sauvignon, nurturing separate blocks of varying vine ages, clones and rootstocks. The combination of these unique parcels of grapes builds layers of complex flavours and, when matured with carefully selected oak and cellaring, creates the bedrock of a great wine.

Our 2017 Hastwell & Lightfoot Cabernet Sauvignon comes together with a small drop of Cabernet Franc which lifts the mid-palate, adding a lovely hint of spice and eucalypt.

This wine perfectly complements a flavoursome Balsamic-glazed Filet Mignon or a hearty portobello mushroom pappardelle.

Aroma: Luscious blackberry, blackcurrant and coffee aromas along with a lovely earthiness, spice and herbs

Palate: The complex palate has good balance between the rich fruit, robust tannins and judicious use of oak which adds an attractive char. The fruit is the highlight of this wine which will continue to mature and develop over the coming years.
