Description
Garnacha Wine is from our Mediterranean wine range. We started the planting in 2000 and now have 6 varieties with their origins in Italy or Spain. They are varieties well-suited to the growing conditions of McLaren Vale and deliver the more rounded flavours of the Southern European climate.
The Garnacha grape was born in the northern region of Spain, known as Aragon. It was initially cultivated for single variety wines as well as blending. The variety was taken over the Pyrenees mountains to Southern France where it is known as Grenache. Our Garnacha vines are grown as traditional bushes and are hand-picked, hand pruned and dry grown.
This is such a drinkable wine; soft palate, low acidity, delightful flavours of strawberries, raspberries, some black cherries and a touch of cinnamon.
Enjoy with a meal such as slow cooked roast pork or rabbit in a dark wine sauce, also a curry in the Rogan Josh style would all go very well.
A wine made for eating.
